Praděd mountain

Praděd, the highest mountain in Moravia and Silesia (1492 m), is a symbol of the Jeseníky Mountains and the whole region. A neo-Gothic style lookout tower was built on the mountaintop in 1912 but was removed in 1959. The current tower was built in 1983.

Karlova Studánka Mountain Spa

The spa, surrounded by a mountain landscape, boasts the cleanest air in Central Europe. Timbered spa buildings complete the overall atmosphere. Karlova Studánka is a spa with a two-hundred-year tradition. It is located in the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains.

Dlouhé stráně

The third largest pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant in the world and the largest hydroelectric power plant in the Czech Republic. Most of the buildings are located underground, while the structures on the surface are respectfully integrated into the surrounding landscape and form a harmonious whole.

Cycling tracks and routes

Vrbno pod Pradědem and its surroundings are crisscrossed with a network of cycle paths. There is a bicycle service in the town centre.

Ski arena Vrbno

Ski Arena Vrbno pod Pradědem is the only ski resort in Vrbno pod Pradědem. It is located in the southwestern part of the town at an altitude of 600 m above sea level.

Lookout tower on the rock near Holčovice

The lookout tower can be found on the southern unforested slope of Moravský Hill at an altitude of 782 m above sea level. The lookout tower is 20 m high. The model of the no longer existing lookout tower, which stood on the highest mountain of the Jizera Mountains – Smrk.

Skalní potok Nature reserve

The nature reserve is crossed by a stream of the same name, a left-side tributary of the Střední Opava River. The area is administered by the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic (NCA CR), Administration of the Jeseníky Protected Landscape Area.

Ruins of Freudenštejn castle

Freudenštejn (also Friedenstein, Old Fürstenwald, Pustý hrádek or Karlovický hrádek) was a Silesian castle located in the cadastre of Vrbno pod Pradědem, about 2 km southwest of Karlovice. Today, the castle is a ruin. Since 1958, it has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Skater park Vrbno

The skatepark park was built in the local part of Železná in Vrbno pod Pradědem and is located north of the Střední Opava River. It was put into operation in 2014.
